Collaborator, since 1986, of Roberto De Simone, he participated - as director and composer - in the creation of: "Carmina Vivianea" (1987), "Le tarantelle del rimorso" (1992), "Populorum Progressio" (1994), "Li Turchi viaggiano" (1995) (also released as a CD in 2003), "L'Opera dei Centosedici" (1995), etc. 

In 1995, he wrote "Song of the Possibility of Survival" for saxophonist Michael Brecker and orchestra. 

From 1997 is the "Mass for the Time of War", performed at the S. Pietro a Majella Conservatory in Naples.

For "I solisti del Teatro San Carlo" he wrote - between 1999 and 2001 - some compositions, later collected in the CD "Musica Obliqua", from 2006. 

From 2001 is "Tarantella storta", a CD awarded in Germany and twice in France, whose concert was presented in 12 European countries and in Israel.

For the "Leuciana Festival" he wrote, in 2004, the show "Coppola Rossa" from which the eponymous CD was released in 2006. 

In the same year, he presented "The Forms of Dionysus" at Palazzo Bomben, a work commissioned by the Benetton Foundation and performed by the Borciani Quartet and singer Gianni Lamagna. 

Also for the Leuciana Festival, he participated as a composer and conductor in the project “Modì Maudits”, with Sergio Rubini, Alessandro Haber, Shawn Monteiro etc. 

In 2007, he wrote the "Concertante Variations" on themes by Carlo d'Angiò, for soloists and orchestra, performed in the same year at the Teatro Mediterraneo in Naples. 

In 2007, he produced, in Spain, the CD “Musica entre canto, musica e poesia” with tenor Joaquin Pixan, pianist Giovanni Auletta, and a quartet of musicians from the Opera of Madrid. 

In 2011, he wrote the "Concert du Printemps," commissioned by the Festival de Lunel (France) for mandolinists Hamilton de Holanda and Mike Marshall and a large orchestra.

In 2013, he wrote the ballet "The Legend of Colapesce" for the Teatro Verdi in Pisa, commissioned by choreographer Flavia Bucciero. 

Again at the Lunel Festival, in 2014 he presents “Nei mari della Luna” for two mandolins and large orchestra. 

At the Opera de Lyon, in January 2015, the show "Napoli continente" debuts, with Lucilla Galeazzi and a quartet of musicians.

Also in 2015, he writes and performs the Cantata "Napoli non è" on the text by R. De Simone, for the 40th anniversary of Pasolini's death. 

Since 2016, he has collaborated with Marco Beasley, with whom he recorded the CD “Catari’, Maggio, l’Ammore” as a duo in 2017.  

In 2020, he wrote orchestrations of pieces by Debussy, Stravinsky, and Satie for the project "Tra scritture e Trascritture" by Roberto De Simone (Naples, Teatro San Carlo). 

In 2021, he participated as a solo guitarist in the Rai 5 broadcast "Trianon Opera". 

Again with Beasley, he wrote "I am a force from the past" on texts by Pasolini, commissioned by the Stresa Festival 2022.

Among the more than fifty records made, the following are still remembered: "Condemned to Wander the Seas," from 1996, with the first recording of some "Brettl-lieder" by Arnold Schönberg, and "The Cold Mountain" from 2004.

And also: Teatro San Carlo, Art Ensemble of Chicago, I Zezi, ZDF-Artè, Raisat, Torino-Settembre Musica, Piccolo Teatro di Milano, Associazione Scarlatti, Eugenio Bennato etc. etc.

 

Worked with Neapolitan composer Roberto De Simone as conductor and composer on productions including : "Le tarantelle del rimorso", "Populorum Progressio", "Li Turchi viaggiano" (published on CD in 2003), Memento Momento” with Nino D’Angelo (2013), “Canti della Dimenticanza”(2019), “Tra scritture e trascritture” (2020) etc.  

In 1995 he wrote "Song of the Possibility of Surviving" for the saxophone of Michael Brecker and orchestra.  

The "Messa per il tempo di guerra", dates from 1997 and was performed at the San Pietro a Majella Conservatoire of Naples.

Between 1999 and 2001, Paliotti conceived a series of compositions for the "I solisti del Teatro San Carlo", which were subsequently collected in a CD produced in 2006, entitled "Musica Obliqua".

Next, in 2001, came "Tarantella storta", a cd that won Paliotti an award in Germany and two in France. The concert with this repertoire visited 12 European countries and was broadcasted by Hessischer Rundfunk in 2002. 

For the 2004 edition of the "Leuciana Festival" he wrote the theatre play in music "Coppola Rossa" that led to the 2006 CD of the same name.

In the same year, the Benetton Foundation commissioned a work that bore the name “Le Forme di Dioniso”. It was performed by the Quartetto Borciani at the Treviso “Palazzo Bomben”, together with vocalist Gianni Lamagna. 

Again in the "Leuciana Festival", he worked, as conductor and composer, in the project “Modì Maudits”, with Sergio Rubini, Alessandro Haber, Shawn Monteiro etc. 

In 2007 he wrote the “Variazioni concertanti” for solos and orchestra, first executed in Naples, the same year, at the Teatro Mediterraneo. 

In the same year the Spanish tenor Joaquin Pixan commissioned the cd “Musica entre canto, musica e poesia”, with Paliotti’s originals compositions and arrangements for a quartet of musician by the Opera di Madrid. 

In 2011 he wrote “Concert du Printemps” for two mandolins and orchestra, commissioned by the Festival “Mandolines de Lunel” (France) and executed by Hamilton de Holanda & Mike Marshall. 

“La leggenda di Colapesce” is the title of a ballet in one act, with music and libretto by Paliotti, first represented in Pisa, Teatro Verdi, in may 2013 by the Movimentoinactor dance group. 

Still at the Lunel Festival, in 2014 he presented "In the Seas of the Moon” for two mandolins and a large orchestra. 

At the Opera de Lyon, in January 2015, the show "Napoli continente" debuted, with Lucilla Galeazzi. 

Also in 2015 he wrote and performed the Cantata "Napoli non è" based on a text by R. De Simone, for the 40th anniversary of Pasolini's death.

He has realised over forty records, the most relevant ones of which include: "Condannati a vagare sui mari", of 1996, featuring the first recordings of several of Schönberg’s “Brettl-Lieder”, and “La montagna fredda” (2004) containing an eclectic mixture of own compositions, and improvisations on themes taken from the classical Neapolitan tradition, and the recent “InDiferencias”, in form of radio broadcast (2021)
